Rescuers are on the scene of a helicopter crash near Cody, Wyoming.

Three adults and one infant were on board when the chopper went down on Ptarmigan Mountain, about 20 miles west of Cody. One of the adults suffered back and neck injuries, the other three escaped without injury.

Air Idaho Rescue out of Idaho Falls flew their helicopter to the top of the 12,000 foot peak to transport the injured man to the Cody hospital.

It is not known what caused the wreck or when it happened, but Park County officials tell us the group had a satellite phone and reported the crash around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

When rescuers arrived they were using the crashed chopper as shelter.

Park County officials say weather conditions on the mountain are good today, with no reports of precipitation.
