Eagle Eye Solutions, LLC has announced that a two-day training program on Helicopter Crash Survival Factors will be held October 4th & 5th in the Greater Cincinnati Ohio Region. This unique course was designed to provide information to investigators and pilots of all persuasions and levels. Evolving out of a passion for a better understanding of crash SURVIVAL dynamics, this program will offer a deeper understanding of not just the physics, but also the how and why of helicopter crash survival factors.
The program will be taught by respected Helicopter Crash Investigation Instructor Jack Cress and will include:
• reviews of mishaps / case studies
• reviews of factors leading to serious injuries in helicopter crashes
• reviews of injury types and probabilities
• discussions of helicopter flight regimes and associated injury risk
• discussions of design factors influencing injury probability and severity
• FAR and MIL-spec occupant protection requirements
• elementary calculation of helicopter crash forces (G-loads)
The training will also include discussion of injury reduction technologies including:
• energy absorbing structures
• energy absorbing seats
• restraint systems
• crashworthy fuel systems
• air bag systems
