FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BLUE HAWAIIAN MARKS MILESTONE 300,000+ HOURS

ON ITS EUROCOPTER AS350 / EC130 FLEET, POWERED BY TURBOMECA

Including over 60,000 hours on the new EC130, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters’ milestone also represents more than 1.5 million passengers flown.  In recognition of this achievement, Blue Hawaiian on August 20, 2007 hosted the top executives of the two leading helicopter, airframe, and engine manufacturers:  Mr. Marc Paganini, CEO and President of American Eurocopter, and Mr. Emeric d’Arcimoles, Chairman and CEO of Turbomeca.

Mr. d’Arcimoles and Mr. Paganini—who was accompanied by Laurent Vautherin, the head of Light Helicopters from Eurocopter headquarters in France—both had high praise for Blue Hawaiian.

“They are truly exceptional,” stated Mr. Emeric d’Arcimoles.  “Blue Hawaiian is one of our most valued customers, and the kind of company with whom we are proud to be associated.”  Mr. Paganini echoed the sentiments: “In 2001, we were honored to have Blue Hawaiian be the launch customer for our all-new EC130B4 ‘ECO-Star.’ They were instrumental in its development, and made a purchase agreement for the first ten of these state-of-the-art touring helicopters.”

Blue Hawaiian today also announced that it has signed a purchase agreement for four more EC130s.

Founded in 1985, multi-award-winning Blue Hawaiian has grown to become Hawaii’s largest and finest helicopter tour company, and the only one that operates on all three major neighbor islands: Maui, Kauai, and on the Big Island in both Hilo and Waikoloa.

Passionately dedicated to safety, in Hawaii only Blue Hawaiian’s helicopters are equipped with the Honeywell Mark XI EGPWS, which is coupled with the KMD 550 Multifunction display to reduce the risk of CFIT accidents in the state’s scenic but challenging environment. The company worked with Honeywell engineers to refine the Mark XI’s capabilities as an effective and reliable terrain mapping tool, even in Hawaii’s steep-walled valleys. The system is integrated into the company’s flight simulator to provide pilots the necessary practice to master use of the equipment.

Blue also maintains an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station, and a factory-authorized service center for both American Eurocopter and Turbomeca. For the past nine years, Blue Hawaiian has received the Federal Aviation Administration’s “Certificate of Excellence — Diamond Award,” the highest recognition bestowed by the FAA.

Blue Hawaiian CEO David Chevalier is gratified about his company’s long relationship with both Turbomeca and American Eurocopter. “We have always been extremely pleased with the quality, performance, and reliability of the products of both companies. Their corporate cultures, support and maintenance programs, are in sync with our own company’s total commitment to excellence.”
