Era Helicopters LLC, one of the world’s leading helicopter operators, is now hiring for our headquarters in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Position will require re-location.
Position: Director of Operations
Qualifications:
Must hold all qualifications outlined by FAR 119.67a to Include: Maintain an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
Must have at least three years of supervisory or managerial experience within the last six years in a position that exercised operational control over any operations conducted with large airplanes under Part 121 or Part 135 of this chapter, or if the certificate holder uses only small airplanes in its operations, the experience may be obtained in large or small airplanes; and in the case of a person becoming a Director of Operations.
For the first time ever, have at least three years experience, within the past six years, as pilot in command of a large airplane operated under Part 121 or Part 135 of this chapter, if the certificate holder operates large airplanes. If the certificate holder uses only small airplanes in its operation, the experience may be obtained in either large or small airplanes.
In the case of a person with previous experience as a Director of Operations, have at least three years experience as pilot in command or a large airplane operated under Part 121 or Part 135 of this chapter, if the certificate holder operates large airplanes. If the certificate holder uses only small airplanes in its operation, the experience may be obtained in
either large or small airplanes.
Must have credentials to be accepted into the position by the Certificate Holders District Office.
Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
Have broad knowledge base of FAR Parts 91, 135, 133, 137, General Operations Manual, and Annex II, ICAO rules to supervise the flight operations both foreign and domestically as authorized by the Operations Specifications.
Must have understanding of Aviation Weather as it applies to decisions regarding the safe operation of aircraft and dispatching aircraft under IFR and / or VFR conditions.
Must be qualified to administer the dispatching of aircraft in accordance with the Companies Operations Specifications Paragraph A008.
Must understand and have background of customer relations along with customer service and be qualified to interface with business leaders at the highest levels of the helicopter industry.
Must understand the basic elements of the company financials and the elements of budgeting and cost controls.
Promote and encourage safety in all areas and ensure instructions pertinent to safety are properly observed. Ensure implementation and execution of the SQMS throughout the operations department, to include all operating
