US air ambulance specialist Air Methods has signed for a further batch of Eurocopter AS350B2 Astar helicopters to expand its fleet of the type. Air Methods is the largest air medical transportation provider in the US. In 2005 it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eurocopter to buy 10 AS350s per year indefinitely. Earlier this year, it signed up for a further batch of 10 AS350 B2s, before contracting yesterday for a similar-sized group, taking its orders so far this year to 30. The latest group of aircraft will be delivered next year
