You must realize that it was 1987 and of course women were not routinely flying attack helicopters,so when Chris asked me to go to Ft. Rucker with him I was elated.He had some unfinished business to take care of,along with picking up his dog.He had just received orders to report to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.Our trip went along great until he says,"How would you like to get into a Cobra simulator"?Me being the total female I am,I screamed....LOUD! It was nothing like I ever dreamed, thought etc. You climb up those stairs and I was given the chose, the gunners seat or the pilot seat, I chose the pilot's seat.This experience was like, well I can't explain it.Everything was going along really great,the banks, yaw.....then suddenly I was in a spin I could not recover from.Chris took over,thank God, because I totally forgot I was in a simulator!
