Ocean Helicopters is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration to operate under Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. This means that we satisfy all of the FAA’s requirements for maintenance, quality of training and safety.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (SEVIS) have also authorized Ocean Helicopters, to issue the M-1 visa for foreign students wishing to acquire their flight training in the U.S.
Ocean Helicopters is based at the North County Airport in beautiful West Palm Beach. The local climate is considered ideal for flying! We are just NW of Palm Beach International, which gives the new pilot experiences of Class C airspace, along with Miami Class B airspace for real world training.
Ocean Helicopters is available 7 days a week for all training. The schedule is accessible via the Internet 24/7 for your convenience. All training is one-on-one and the schedule is designed to accommodate each individual student’s needs. A typical daily schedule will consist of ground and in-flight training. Our program allows each student to progress at their own rate by integrating the ground and flight training courses together. Students can enroll any day of the year. All records are maintained with Paperless141.
Our dynamic fleet of aircraft has been carefully selected to offer variety to our students and our flight operation’s needs. Our fleet consists of Robinson R22’s, Robinson R44’S as well as a Jet Ranger. Jet Ranger has a month special during April of $625/per hour with 10 hours booked!! Only for April only!!
All pilots need to keep their flying skills in check; our flight instructors are kept on a company-training schedule with our Chief Flight Instructor. This keeps our training consistent and safe. The training focuses on emergency maneuvers, normal procedures and a performance critique with a review. This encourages safety and offers each flight instructor the ability to build on his or her teaching skills.
Ocean Helicopters can offer its students the convenience of being able to take their FAA Knowledge exams on site through Laser grade and check rides along with their medical exam.
