Helicentre Aviation Announces Brand New Scholarships for 2015

Helicentre Aviation Academy has announced it will be awarding several helicopter pilot training scholarships in 2015. The company has so far awarded four scholarships to trainee helicopter pilots and will this summer will be awarding a further five scholarships totalling around £100,000 in value. By 2015 a total of fifteen training scholarships will have been awarded.

Bell Helicopter to Display First Slovakian Bell 429 EMS Aircraft and First Bell 407GX in the Czech Republic at EHS

 Fort Worth, TX – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), will display the first Slovakian Bell 429 Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) aircraft, owned by Air-Transport Europe, s.r.o (ATE), at the European Helicopter Show (EHS) from June 19 to June 21 this year. In addition, the first Bell 407GX sold in the Czech Republic, owned by King’s Casino, will also be displayed to further demonstrate the growing market in Europe for Bell Helicopter aircraft.  

Metro Aviation delivers third air medical aircraft to Northwest MedStar

Shreveport, Louisiana – Northwest MedStar recently received its newest Airbus EC135.  The latest addition is the third helicopter completed and delivered by Metro Aviation in the past year, bringing the total helicopter fleet to seven for the Spokane-based program.

EagleMed Air Medical Transport Selects Metro Aviation for Helicopter Flight Sim Training

Wichita, Kan. – EagleMed LLC critical care air medical transport company has
selected Metro Aviation as its preferred provider of helicopter simulator training for its pilots.  EagleMed will conduct this important training at Metro Aviation’s Helicopter Flight Training Center in Shreveport, La., utilizing a Eurocopter AS350 Level 7 Flight Training Device.

Airbus Helicopters Inc. delivers new Mississippi-built AS350 B3e helicopter to Mississippi Department of Public Safety

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Captain Ron Kelly of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Air Wing accepted delivery Tuesday of an Airbus Helicopters Inc. AS350 B3e AStar produced for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS).  The new law enforcement-equipped helicopter is a Mississippi-built product.

EULESS, TX – Aero Dynamix, Inc. is proud to announce they have been granted another EASA NVG STC. This time the EASA STC is on a Bell 412EP, EASA STC number 10049194. This is the first of two 412EP’s Aero Dynamix will modify for the Faroe Islands operator, Atlantic Airways, which will use the modified aircraft for search and rescue (SAR) missions.

Seattle, WA- ATOMIC Helicopters, a Seattle-based helicopter flight school announces Preston Gulledge, a high school student of local The Overlake School, completed his Private Pilot practical test, earning his Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating on June 1, 2014.  He is the youngest student to date to have graduated from ATOMIC Helicopters’ scenario-based, syllabus-centric flight training program, and one of the youngest helicopter pilots in the country.  Gulledge earned his Private Pilot’s License at the FAA minimum age of 17, and in a mere 43.6 hours, as part of his senior class project for his high school.  The FAA mandates the minimum hours of 40 to accomplish such a rating.

The Bell 429 Completing Successful EMS Missions in Russia

Fort Worth, TX - Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced th Bell 429 is successfully completing key Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) missions for new Russian customers. Heli-Drive, one of Bell Helicopter’s independent representatives in the region has customized a Bell 429 and constructed the first six of 16 total helipads at regional hospitals to support HEMS operations in the Saint-Petersburg region. This is under an agreement with the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation and Department of Healthcare of Saint-Petersburg.
