EC135 Simulator Receives FAA Stamp of Approval

Shreveport, Louisiana – Since installing the EC135 Level D Full Motion Simulator at the Helicopter Flight Training Center this spring, pilots and technicians were busy testing the system and preparing it for certification.  Although the simulator was certified at its previous location, FlightSafety International’s DFW facility, it had to receive FAA certification once again at its new base in Shreveport, Louisiana.  

Bell Helicopter Selected by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office for a Bell 407GX

Phoenix, AZ – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced that, pending successful final negotiations, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department intends to award a contract for a Bell 407GX. The aircraft will be used for parapublic missions, including: search and rescue, fire suppression, and law enforcement air support to public safety agencies throughout San Diego County. 

Georgia State Patrol Expands Bell Helicopter Fleet at ALEA 2014

PHOENIX, AZ – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), has announced a signed purchase agreement with Georgia State Patrol for a Bell 429 at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) exposition today, in Phoenix, Ariz. The signing ceremony took place in front of the aircraft on display at the Bell Helicopter booth #209.
 

Advanced Helicopter Services Announces Maintenance Service Agreement

Woodland, CA -- Advanced Helicopter Services (AHS) has announced a service agreement to provide helicopter maintenance services for the City of Sacramento, California.  AHS will support the Sacramento fleet of three Bell OH-58A helicopters by providing dynamic component inspection, maintenance and overhaul services.  AHS will provide the services from their comprehensive helicopter service center located at the Watts-Woodlands airport in Woodland, California.

KONGSBERG and AgustaWestland Sign Agreement for Increased Co-operation

San Antonio Police Department puts two new Airbus Helicopters EC120’s into service, now operates all-Airbus Helicopters fleet

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Airbus Helicopters Inc. (AHI) is pleased to announce that the San Antonio Police Department has placed two new EC120’s into service, giving them an all-Airbus Helicopters helicopter fleet for patrol and search-and-rescue missions.

Deployment the new EC120’s marks the beginning of a fleet upgrade project that will likely result in the purchase of at least one more EC120 over the next few years. The agency also operates an Airbus Helicopters AS350B3 for use in fire-fighting, search and rescue and other special missions.
