Airbus Helicopters wins tender for two medical helicopters in Russia

Moscow  – As recently announced by the Moscow Health Department, following an open tender, Airbus Helicopters Vostok was awarded a contract to supply two medical helicopters for the Health Department’s Scientific and Practical Centre of Emergency Medicine. The preferred rotorcraft among two other bidders was the proven EC145.

Genesys Aerosystems Surpasses 1,500 Autopilot Certifications

Mineral Wells, TX – Genesys Aerosystems announced today that it has
surpassed 1,500 FAA and international Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for its STEC line of autopilot systems, covering nearly every make and model of General Aviation (GA) airplanes and helicopters and about half of all US autopilot certifications issued.

Air Methods Completes Successful Demonstration of Jupiter Avionics wiJAC Wireless Intercom System

El PASO, Texas- Priority One Air Rescue and Air Methods Corporation - the global leader in air medical transportation, successfully demonstrated the potential of the Jupiter Avionics Corporation (JAC) wiJAC Wireless Intercom system near El Paso, Texas.

One member of the group was fitted with the hands-free JA68 while the other half of the system, JA69, was installed in a rear cabin of the helicopter.  In addition, a second wiJAC system was installed to establish a link between the helicopter and the ground.  Hands-free, full duplex communication between the rescue operative and the helicopter, and between the helicopter and the ground, was quickly and easily established.

Bell Helicopter Delivers First Two of Six Bell 407GXs to the Pennsylvania State Police

Russian Helicopters to train Mongolian pilots at Ulan-Ude Aviation Training Centre

Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, will this month host pilots from Mongolyn Alt Corporation (MAK) at Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant's Aviation Training Centre, under an agreement on training of flight and engineering personnel. The Mongolian company operates two Mi-8/17 series helicopters – a Mi-171 and a Mi-8AMT – both produced at the Ulan-Ude plant and delivered to the customer in 2008 and 2011, respectively.

Bell Helicopter Announces First Two HEMS Bell 429s in the Middle East
