FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID FOR HELICOPTER PILOTS Mauna Loa Helicopters Gains DOE Approval for Federal Student Financial Aid

Mauna Loa Helicopters, one of the country’s oldest and largest helicopter pilot training schools, has received authorization from the U.S. Department of Education to offer Federal Financial Aid to its students.
Now a high school graduate can pay for their flight training at MLH with a federal loan just like they would pay for a university degree.  Students who qualify for the Parent Plus Loan can borrow up to the full tuition cost plus living expenses for the Professional Pilot Program.

As most loan companies in the US have given up funding flight training, many young people across the country have had to give up their dreams of becoming a pilot.  With a school now being able to offer Federal Aid, many students will have a chance to reach that dream with Mauna Loa Helicopters.  Mauna Loa Helicopters

“This is a project that has been in the works for many years which we are proud to see come to fruition for the benefit of our students and our institution.  We are excited that this opens the doors to a lot of great candidates that would otherwise not have the opportunity to become a professional pilot.  Being the first helicopter school in the US to receive this level of accreditation is an honor and a distinction for Mauna Loa Helicopters.”    ~ Ben Fouts, President MLH

Mauna Loa Helicopters is a helicopter flight school located on 3 of the Hawaiian Islands, offering helicopter courses from Private through ATP, including External Load and Night Vision Goggle courses.  Mauna Loa Helicopters issues M-1 and F-1 visas to students from all over the world, is VA approved, and accredited by the ACCSC.  Interested students should contact MLH at (808) 334-0234, info@maunaloahelicopters.com or www.maunaloahelicopters.com
