After more than thirty years of building and operating the most successful air
medical transport company in the Midwest, the founders of EagleMed have announced
their planned retirement from the company. Jim and Iva Ballard are set to retire from
EagleMed by early September. With this announcement, EagleMed is pleased to name
the newest member of the company’s leadership team. Larry Bugg has been named as
the President of EagleMed, LLC. He officially started in this role on August 16th.
A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical and Texas A & M Universities, Larry
Bugg began his aviation career as a twenty-nine year veteran of the United States Army
before moving to the field of air medical transport. Larry has most recently served as
the Vice President of Operations and Safety at Med-Trans Corporation (MTC), where he
has had direct oversight of flight operations across their diverse multi-state
organization. In addition to his many organizational memberships and affiliations, Mr.
Bugg has served as secretary of the Air Medical Safety Advisory Council and vice chair of
the Air Medical Operators Association Safety Committee. He brings thirty-two years of
extensive aviation and safety experience with him to EagleMed.
"We are excited to have such a knowledgeable and experienced individual to
carry on with the task of leading EagleMed into the future," says Iva Ballard. The
Executive Vice President and co-founder of EagleMed further notes that Larry Bugg is a
"respected member of the air medical community who will be a valuable asset to
EagleMed and the communities in which we serve."
Wichita based EagleMed, an Air Medical Group Holdings subsidiary,
acknowledges the dedication and commitment that Jim and Iva Ballard have provided to
the company throughout their many years of leadership. They will remain with
EagleMed during the coming weeks to assist with the transition in leadership of the
company.
