In partnership with Sun ‘n Fun Radio, Women in Aviation, International (WAI) will host a radio show called Women Shine at Sun ‘n Fun" to help increase the visibility of women involved in many aspects of aviation. During Women Shine at Sun ‘n Fun, Dr. Chabrian and her guests will highlight the many activities, career opportunities, aviation events, and scholarships that exist for women in the aviation community.

WAI kicks off the week by hosting the opening night program from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 called Women of the Air with a panel moderated by Dr. Chabrian. In addition, Women in Aviation, International is hosting a forum entitled Aviation Scholarships: Not Just for Kids which will showcase the many career oriented (and career changing) scholarships available to women and men who work, or want to work, in the aviation industry. There are also scholarships available for those who enjoy flying just for fun.  This forum will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 1:00 PM in Tent 4.

Women in Aviation will be present on site all week and may be visited at Booth 3 in Hangar C. Women and men of all ages are urged to stop by the booth to learn of the benefits of membership including chapters, mentoring and an annual distribution of nearly $700,000 in scholarship funds.
