Based in Fort Lauderdale Florida since 1989 Aviation Management International (AMI) has been servicing its customers world wide primarily with parts, logistic support and aircraft sales.

"Back in 2004 we recognized a need for quality ground support equipment having supplied and distributed other companies products", says Kevin Howarth, VP and Head of Sales at AMI. "We knew we could produce a portable ground power unit that exceeded the specifications of the units we were distributing at that time, and do so at a much more reasonable price to the end user".

Along with his business partner, Ken Hutson, they designed and produced the AMI-1800, AMI-2400, AMI-2400-50, AMI-4500 and the AMI-4500-100. With a phenomenal response to the product AMI has sold its portable Ground Power Units all over the world.

Encouraged by this success and in spite of a worldwide economic downturn, AMI decided to increase it’s line of ground support equipment and introduces the AMI-TW60 Turbine Washer, a moderately priced, smartly engineered solution to turbine engine compressor and turbine wheel maintenance.

Ken Hutson, AMI’s president stresses the need for routine compressor and turbine wheel washes, based on his experiences in over 35 years of running maintenance shops and operations in some of the worlds harshest environments.

"Routine compressor and turbine wheel washes will increase an aircraft’s engine‘s longevity and reduce overall costs, along with making the aircraft more fuel efficient", says Hutson.

The light weight and portable design allows a maintenance professional to move the cart easily on the ramp or on unimproved surfaces. The AMI-TW60 provides the versatility of adjustable outlet pressure and source selection to utilize water only when required and chemical solution when necessary without changing bottles or fluids.

AMI is currently developing even higher capacity portable ground power units in response to inquiries from owners of aircraft requiring higher power output, as well as other ground support equipment, in order to help the operator reduce overall costs. Look for more product announcements to come in the first quarter of 2010.
