(Independence, Kansas, September 25, 2012) In our efforts to ensure Kansas Aviation maintains and enhances its world-class position within the turbine engine accessory repair and overhaul industry, we are pleased to announce the following new assignment, effective immediately.

James Curtis has joined the Kansas Aviation team as Director of Sales. James will be involved in all aspects of domestic and international sales across all market segments and product lines. “I am excited about joining the KAI family. I believe my experience and the Kansas Aviation culture will position us to provide best-in-class engine accessory service and solidify our position of providing customers with a world class experience,” states James.

James brings twenty years of diverse aviation experience ranging from direct aircraft maintenance to aviation sales and MRO business development. James specializes in enhancement and management of the customer experience. He has used these skills to lead and oversee the development and growth of new business opportunities and to develop effective and mutually beneficial customer relationships.

James holds an Airframe & Powerplant license with Inspection Authorization and a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is also an FAA certified commercial/instrument pilot, and served proudly as an aircraft maintenance technician and supervisor in the US Air Force.

We are excited to welcome James to the Kansas Aviation family.
