Rudy Frasca’s book to Debut at AirVenture

URBANA, Ill., July 17, 2012 – Aviation entrepreneur Rudy Frasca will debut his new book “From Cubs to Spitfires” at this year’s AirVenture event, July 23-29, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. (www.airventure.org)

Having soloed at the age of 14, Rudy has logged thousands of flight hours in his 81 years. Parlaying his love of aviation into a career, successful flight simulation business and hobby, Rudy began writing about his adventures, observations and experiences in the world of aviation.

The book spans over 60 years and includes chapters about his family (Rudy is a father to eight children, many of whom are active pilots), his airplane collection (including many warbirds), numerous flying adventures (both humorous and hair raising), his business experiences and more.

Rudy founded Frasca International, Inc, a well known supplier of flight simulation equipment, in 1958. The company, based in Urbana, Illinois, employs 190 people and has delivered over 2500 flight training devices worldwide. Product range includes basic general aviation flight training devices through sophisticated Military Full Flight Simulators for all aircraft types.
The book will be for sale at the Frasca booth during Oshkosh and by contacting the company directly at (217) 344-9200.
