Norway's Airlift Adds Latitude's IONode FDM

Victoria, BC  - Latitude Technologies, the premier global supplier of flight data monitoring, flight following, and Satcom solutions helicopter fleets, is pleased to announce that Airlift AS, northern Europe's largest onshore rotorcraft operator, will be adding Latitude's IONode ION3A FDM recording and reporting devices to the Latitude SkyNode S200 flight-tracking, voice, and data transceivers installed in the Airlift fleet of Airbus AS350 aircraft.
 
Together the IONode ION3A and SkyNode S200 will give Airlift a superior HFDM solution, including real-time event alerting and automatic post-mission wireless flight data transfer to the fleet's stakeholders.  Latitude's IONode FDM system will help Airlift to improve operational performance, enhance the company's SMS program, and further strengthen fleet maintenance routines.

Metro Aviation delivers EC145 to Boston MedFlight

Shreveport, Louisiana – Metro Aviation recently completed and delivered a new EC145 for Boston MedFlight, a critical care transport service in New England. This is the second EC145 that Metro has completed for Boston MedFlight. 

“We are excited to receive our second Airbus EC145 after its completion from Metro Aviation.  This gives us the youngest operating fleet in our region, which provides us with access to the latest and greatest in technology, airframe, and safety enhancements available in the industry,” said Charles Blathras, Chief Operations Manager for Boston MedFlight.

Australian Helicopters Signs for Six AW139 Helicopters For EMS Missions by Air Ambulance Victoria

Finmeccanica – AgustaWestland and Australian Helicopters are pleased to announce the signature of a contract for AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopters that will be operated for Ambulance Victoria under a 10 year agreement to perform Emergency Medical Service (EMS) missions. The aircraft, which are expected to enter service in January 2016, will be based at Essendon, Bendigo, Latrobe Valley and Warrnambool airports. The new fleet will replace Ambulance Victoria’s present five helicopters and includes a dedicated back-up aircraft to maintain services when heavy aircraft maintenance is required.
