AgustaWestland Exhibits Its Latest Rotorcraft and Customer Support Services At Farnborough International Air Show

Finmeccanica – AgustaWestland will be exhibiting an impressive line-up of eight helicopters from its commercial and military helicopter product ranges and showcasing its industry leading customer support and training services at this year’s Farnborough International Air Show.

Making its first appearance at Farnborough will be a full scale mock-up of the recently launched AW109 Trekker light twin helicopter. Also from its commercial helicopter range the 4.5 tonne class AW169 and 8 tonne class AW189 will be on display, two of the Company’s products from its unique Family concept that also includes the AW139 and spans the 4 to 8 tonne weight categories.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited Unveils New White Phosphor Goggles at Airborne Law Enforcement Agency Annual Convention

BOISE, IDAHO-  Aviation Specialties Unlimited Inc. (ASU) announced that the company will unveil their new white phosphor night vision goggles (NVG) at the Airborne Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) annual convention in Phoenix and will be demonstrating them at booth 641.

“The new white phosphor night vision goggle is the first technological breakthrough in aviation goggles since the Generation III goggle was introduced,” said President Jim Winkel.

Bell Helicopter to Provide Updates on Commercial Programs and Continued Global Momentum at the Farnborough International Airshow

There will be four Bell Helicopter aircraft on display, including the international debut of the Bell 525 Relentless™ mockup configured for Search and Rescue (SAR) missions, the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X™ mockup, which is concluding its three month tour of Europe, the Bell 407GX, and the Bell 429 configured for Helicopter Emergency Medical Service missions, which is also completing a demo tour throughout Europe leading up to the show. In addition to providing visitors a chance to get a close look at the capabilities, spacious cabins and state-of-the art glass cockpits throughout the Bell Helicopter product line, a corporate-configured Bell 429 will also perform flight demonstrations during the show.

Helicopter Pilot Careers Advice Available at UK Events This Month

Helicentre Aviation Academy will be participating in several aviation careers events this month to assist future professional helicopter pilots pave their way into the industry. The events which include the Leeds FLYER Professional Flight Training Exhibition, and Farnborough International Airshow will provide potential new pilots with advice on how to train to become professional helicopter pilots, as well as providing information on job prospects for new pilots, ways to fund training, and the range of available scholarships which cover a substantial amount of training costs for the selected candidates.

Airbus Helicopters’ EC175 full-flight simulator is ready for service

Marignane– The first Level D full-flight simulator for Airbus Helicopters’ EC175 rotorcraft has received airworthiness certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), enabling launch pilots to be trained with this high-fidelity system.
