Airbus Helicopters to provide long-term support for EC135 rotorcraft operated by German Federal Police

Berlin – Keeping the German Federal Police’s large fleet of EC135 rotorcraft mission-ready will be the responsibility of Airbus Helicopters based on a long-term maintenance, repair, and overhaul contract (MRO) signed with the NATO Support Agency NSPA at the ILA Berlin Air Show. The NATO Support Agency (NSPA) is NATO’s Integrated Logistics and Services Provider Agency, which executed the procurement process for the service contract on behalf of the German Federal Police.

EASA Certifies Sikorsky S-92® AMS 8.0 and ADS-B Out

Stratford, Connecticut - Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. announced the certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) of enhanced functionality for the S-92® helicopter. The announcement was made at both the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibit (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, and at the ILA Berlin exhibition in Germany. Sikorsky Aircraft is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Russian Helicopters supplies Mi-171Sh helicopters  to Kazakh Border Service

Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, has delivered Mi-171Sh helicopters to the Kazakhstan Border Service under a contract signed by Rosoboronexport in 2012. One of the helicopters’ main tasks will be securing Kazakhstan’s state border. They will be used for routine patrols (including at night-time), and to land Special Forces troops to detain illegal border-crossers, and to return the troops to base.

ADAC Luftfahrt Technik and Airbus Helicopters sign parts-by-the-hour contract for EC145 T2 fleet

BERLIN – Airbus Helicopters and ADAC Luftfahrt Technik (ALT), the maintenance arm of ADAC Luftrettung, signed a parts-by-the-hour service contract for the air rescue organization’s EC145 T2 fleet. The ten-year service agreement with a volume of some 25 million euros covers a comprehensive range of services for the new aircraft.
