Enstrom introduces new trainer model, TH180

Menominee, Michigan—Enstrom Helicopter Corporation is pleased to introduce the newest member of its family, the TH180. Designed as a training helicopter, the TH180 is based on Enstrom’s solid reputation for safety and customer support with additional focus on low operating costs and ease of learning.

Metro Aviation dedicated to safety through helicopter simulators

Shreveport, Louisiana – For Metro Aviation, it came as no surprise when the National Transportation Safety Board released its latest safety alert, Safety through Helicopter Simulators.  Since 2008, Metro Aviation has used helicopter simulators to ensure their pilots are trained and ready for a variety of in-flight situations.  Metro President Mike Stanberry confirmed his commitment to safety when he opened the Helicopter Flight Training Center last year.  The training center houses an AS350 Level 7 Flight Training Device and will receive an EC135 Level D Full Motion Simulator next month.  The training center and simulators are available for all operators to integrate into their training programs.

LIFEFLIGHT OF MAINE ORDERS FOUR ADDITIONAL  BELFORT AUTOMATED WEATHER OBSERVATION SYSTEMS (AWOS)

Anaheim, CA. – Belfort Instrument Company, one of the country’s oldest meteorological sensor and meteorological system manufactures, has received an order from LifeFlight of Maine for four additional Belfort AWOS AV units.   This order was announced at the 2014 Heli-Expo in Anaheim, California today.

MD Helicopters RECEIVES ORDER FOR NEW MD 500E FROM CHINA-BASED SHANDONG QI XIANG GENERAL AVIATION

MESA, Ariz. – MD Helicopters Inc. (MDHI), a Lynn Tilton company and leading manufacturer of commercial, air-rescue, military and law enforcement helicopters, announced today that Shandong Qi Xiang General Aviation Ltd (Qi Xiang GA) and Avion Pacific Ltd (Avion), MD Helicopters’  sales distributer in China,  reached an agreement on an order for a new 500E helicopter. The aircraft is scheduled for delivery the second quarter of this year and will be used for agricultural spraying and utility work in the Shandong province, south of Beijing.

Precision Aviation Services Signs Service Center Agreement with Airbus Helicopters Inc.

ATLANTA, GA -- In a move that signals its ongoing commitment to the marketplace, Airbus Helicopters  Inc. (AHI) named Precision Aviation Services (PAS), a Precision Aviation Group (PAG) company, as an AHI Service Center. This is the newest AHI service center in the Southeast and the first in the Atlanta market.

The state-of-the-art 35,000 square foot facilities, located at the Atlanta Regional Airport Falcon Field (KFFC) just South of Atlanta, will provide easily accessible sales and service to many Airbus Helicopters aircraft owners and operators in the region. AHI is a leading manufacturer and provider of helicopters that are operated by approximately 600 U.S. civilian, government and military operators, which include corporations, emergency medical services, law enforcement, tourism operators and others.

NHV orders six additional EC175s from Airbus Helicopters

Anaheim, California – Noordzee Helicopters Vlaanderen (NHV) has ordered six more Airbus Helicopters EC175s, increasing its acquisitions of the new-generation rotorcraft to 16.  NHV is an EC175 launch customer, booking its first contract for 10 of the mid-sized, twin-engine helicopters in 2012.
