LCI TAKES DELIVERY OF ITS FIFTH AW139 FOR BOND OFFSHORE

Lease Corporation International’s (LCI) helicopter division has taken delivery of its fifth AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter, and has placed the aircraft on lease with Bond Offshore Helicopters (Bond) in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
The delivery follows the agreement last year of a long term lease between LCI and Bond’s parent company Avincis Group – a leading global provider of mission critical services.

Russian Helicopters boosts transport infrastructure in Russia’s Far East

Moscow - Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, will deliver two medium multirole Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to the regional government of Sakhalin Oblast in the first quarter of 2015. The Mi-8MTV-1 will expand flight coverage of the region, and significantly increases the range of air ambulances in Sakhalin.

After budget deal, Lockheed Martin would share in Air Force helicopter contract

WASHINGTON — A federal budget agreement announced Monday night includes money for the Air Force to award a contract to a Sikorsky Aircraft/Lockheed Martin joint venture to build a new generation of 112 combat search-and-rescue helicopters.

The deal includes $333.5 million for the Air Force to approve the project, which would support 250 existing and new jobs at Lockheed’s facility in Owego.
