AW189 Flight Training Device Ready For Training

AgustaWestland is pleased to announce the availability of a new AW189 Flight Training Device (FTD) at its A. Marchetti Training Academy in Sesto Calende, Italy. Bell Helicopter to Equip New Short Light Single Aircraft with Garmin G1000H Integrated Avionics System

New Generation AW169 Presented to the Italian EMS Community  at HEMS 2013 Conference in Massa Carrara

Russian Helicopters names Alexander Mikheev as CEO

Moscow -Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, announces that the Board of Directors today appointed Alexander Mikheev as CEO of the Company. Alexander Mikheev previously served as Deputy CEO of Rosoboronexport. Russian Helicopters’ outgoing CEO Dmitry Petrov will continue to work within Rostec.

“Russian Helicopters’ new leadership team has been tasked with strengthening the Company’s position on the global market and boosting profitability,” said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec. “The Company’s strategy targets an increase in global market share to 18%-20% from the current 14% by 2020, including by expanding its presence in the CIS, China, India, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.”


MESA, Ariz. – MD Helicopters Inc. (MDHI), a Lynn Tilton company and leading manufacturer of commercial, air-rescue, military and law enforcement helicopters, announced that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has placed orders for 12 new MD 530F helicopters. The new aircraft will be delivered during the fourth quarter of 2013.

The newest members of the KRG fleet will provide support to the Ministry of Interior for airborne law enforcement and firefighting missions in the mountainous regions of Kurdistan. The aircraft will be equipped with the latest state-of-the art technology, including NVG compatible cockpit, high powered searchlight and advanced avionics.


Bell Helicopter Wins Contract for Up to 20 Aircraft at Helitech International

LONDON, ENGLAND – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced today at Helitech International 2013 a signed agreement with Avincis Group for the sale of up to 20 helicopters comprised of the Bell 429, Bell412 and Bell 412EPI aircraft, largely for use in Life & Rescue operations.
