Vector Aerospace has Four Eurocopter AS332L Helicopters Picked up by World’s Second Largest Antonov Aircraft

Richmond, BC – Vector Aerospace Corporation (Vector), a global independent provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service is loading four upgraded Eurocopter AS332L helicopters onto an An-124 Antonov at Vancouver International Airport - YVR today. Two of these helicopters are Australia-bound for use in offshore oil rig servicing contracts; the other two are being sent to Afghanistan for utility operations. Vector Aerospace has worked closely with Panalpina Inc's air freight division to charter the Antonov and coordinate this event.

Bell Helicopter Announces New Members to Executive Leadership Team

FORT WORTH, TEXAS  – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced today new additions to its Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Effective immediately, Gunnar Kleveland will assume the role of senior vice president, Integrated Operations, Dr. Cathy Ferrie will serve as senior vice president, Engineering and Matt Hasik will take on the position of senior vice president, Commercial Programs. Kleveland, Ferrie and Hasik will succeed Pete Riley and Jeff Lowinger in their respective roles as executive vice president, Integrated Operations, and executive vice president, Engineering and Commercial Programs.

Rescuers were scrambled at just after 7.30pm on Friday August 23 when a fishing boat piloted by three men was washed onto rocks by high seas off the coast of Blyth, in Northumberland.

It is understood that the men were trying to get out of the River Wansbeck on a fishing trip when the boat's engine failed.

Kamov 62 - Ardiden -  new international success

Bordes / Moscow - Turbomeca (Safran) unveils for the first time the Ardiden 3G engine installed on a prototype of the Russian helicopter Kamov 62 at the MAKS air show. The maiden flight is scheduled for the next few weeks.

The Colombian operator Vertical de Aviacion ordered five Kamov 62 helicopters on the opening day of the air show. Safran / Turbomeca welcomes this new international contract which confirms the success of the strategic partnership set up between Safran and the Russian high-tech industry.
