TrueView Enhanced Vision completes first Bell 407GX/G1000H Installation

TrueView Enhanced Vision Systems has completed the first STC installation of their T6-200 EV system on a Bell 407GX utilizing the Garmin G1000H for the infrared image display. TrueView holds the only Bell 407GX STC that includes specific approval for the use of the Garmin 1000H to display the high resolution image created by their T6-200 imaging system. The same STC also approves use of the Garmin 500H in the standard 407 helicopter.

Nancy Barber Named Part 145 Administrator

Helicopter Specialties, Inc. (HSI) of Janesville, Wis., has named Nancy Barber as FAA Part 145 Administrator. For two years Barber previously served as an Administrative Assistant at HSI.

Part 145 of the Federal Aviation Regulations refers to the rules governing FAA Certified Repair Stations. In the past Barber worked in the regulatory environment for a large helicopter fleet operator and brings her broad experience to this new position at HSI.

Soloy Aviation Finds Solution to Recurring Honeywell Converted AS350 Engine Torque Indicator Failures

Olympia, WA – To remedy the high rate of failure of a torque pressure transducer included in its AS350BA and AS350B2 Honeywell conversion kits, Soloy Aviation Solutions is now including a complete torque indication system previously offered only as an optional Service Instruction Kit.

“The high incidence of failure of the engine torque transducer has continued to be the number one cause of aircraft un-serviceability and unscheduled down time. This, coupled with a very difficult process of obtaining warranty consideration, has led Soloy to the decision that we can no longer include this unit in future conversion kits,” says Nick Parkinson, Soloy’s Business Development Manager.

Scholarship Winner is First UK Cabri G2 FI(H) Course Graduate
