Bell Helicopter Expands Service and Customization Offerings at Singapore Site

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT) announced it has received approval by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) to perform maintenance and customization on Bell 206 series, Bell 407 series and Bell 429 aircraft under the certification of the Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA). 

 Mi-38 with Russian TV7-117V engines makes first flight

Moscow - Russian Helicopters and United Engine Corporation (UEC), subsidiaries of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, announce the successful start of testing of the third prototype Mi-38 helicopter fitted with Russian-built TV7-117V engines. The new engines have been specially developed for the new transport and passenger helicopter by Klimov, a UEC company.

Air Methods Closes Acquisition of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters

Founded in 1985, Blue Hawaiian is one of the world's largest aerial tour operators and is the premier helicopter tour company in the State of Hawaii, offering a diverse portfolio of twelve scheduled tours on five of Hawaii's six tourist islands. Blue Hawaiian operates a fleet of 24 helicopters consisting of Eurocopter AS350s and EC130s. Blue Hawaiian generated consolidated revenue of approximately $47 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2012.
