New VIP Mi-171A2 and Mi-38 helicopters presented to  Chief of the Presidential Property Management Directorate

Moscow - Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, carried out testing of the new Mi-171A2 and Mi-38 helicopters at the National Helicopter Building Centre (NHBC) in Tomilino, Moscow Region. The tests were attended by Vladimir Kozhin, Chief of the Presidential Property Management Directorate. The NHBC is currently carrying out the first round of testing on the medium multi-role Mi-171A2 and the third round of tests on the transport and passenger Mi-38. The helicopters were demonstrated at the MAKS-2013 airshow in August, and can be used for VIP transport and corporate purposes.

Dubai Air Wing Orders An AW189 For VIP Transport

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that the Dubai Air Wing has placed an order for one AW189 8-tonne class twin engine helicopter to perform VIP transport missions. This contract is the first order for a VIP transport-configured AW189 and marks the entrance of the AW189 into the United Arab Emirates.


A key customer of the AW139 in the UAE, the Dubai Air Wing will benefit from the outstanding long range, high capacity features of the AW189 as well as of the unique advantages of the AgustaWestland Family of new generation helicopters thanks to the range of commonalities in design, certification and safety standards, components and maintenance/training approach across the AW139 and AW189 models.   

Dubai Police to Operate Five AW169 Helicopters

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that the Dubai Police will operate five AW169 light intermediate helicopters to perform a range of missions including law  enforcement, emergency medical services and VIP transport.


This contract marks the entrance of the AW169 into the Middle East parapublic helicopter market and further expands the success of the AW169 in the United Arab Emirates, where it has also been ordered to carry out VIP and passenger transport operations. The introduction of the AW169 for a range of public utility applications in the UAE follows the success of the AW139 for government and parapublic roles in the country.

Gulf Helicopters Signs Firm Orders for 15 AW189 Helicopters
