Russian Helicopters to supply new helicopters to Almaty Rescue Service

Almaty, Kazakhstan - Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, and Almaty Rescue Service have signed a cooperation memorandum to supply multi-role Mi-8AMT and new light Ka-226T helicopters.

“We confirm that we can supply Almaty Rescue Service with the required quantity of helicopters within the time period required,” said Mikhail Dubrovin, Russian Helicopters’ Director of Marketing. “The helicopters will be equipped for everything that Almaty Rescue Service has to deal with.”

Branding Iron Completes Skyplan Website for NBAA

Latitude Launches New Website within Comprehensive Web Strategy

Metro Aviation announces new Simulator Technician

Shreveport, Louisiana -- Metro Aviation and FlightSafety International (FSI) recently announced the arrival of FSI simulators at the Helicopter Flight Training Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Metro is pleased to welcome John Forsythe as the primary Simulator Technician.  Forsythe's primary focus is to provide technical support of the simulators on a daily basis.
 
Forsythe retired from the United States Air Force in October of 2013 at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.  As an EC130 avionics technician he supported Operations Just Cause, Desert Shield and Provide Comfort.  Forsythe moved up the ranks as an avionics quality assurance inspector, avionics lead technician and finally Production Superintendent and Maintenance Operations Center Superintendent.

PennSTAR adds American Eurocopter EC145 to air medical fleet

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS) has updated its PennSTAR air medical services fleet with the addition of a new American Eurocopter EC145.            
Purchased in 2012, the EC145 was completed by Metro Aviation and placed into service over the summer, replacing a PennSTAR BK117. The all Eurocopter PennSTAR fleet consists seven aircraft: five EC135s, one BK117 and the new EC145.

Latitude Announces Development of FANS 1A+ Data Link Transceiver

Boston MedFlight Wins American Eurocopter  Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- American Eurocopter is pleased to announce that Boston MedFlight has been awarded the 2013 Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award, after being chosen from a record-tying list of 25 nominees.

Life Flight Network Signs Firm Orders for Three AW119Kx

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce Life Flight Network has signed firm orders for three AW119Kx single engine helicopters, completing the 15 helicopter acquisition plan, to meet its future air medical helicopter transport requirements.

The contract was signed today by Michael Griffiths, Life Flight Network’s CEO, and Robert Brant, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America during a ceremony held at the Air Medical Transport Conference in Virginia Beach, VA. Deliveries based on the initial order have begun, with 10 aircraft already in service and operating from bases in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Uniflight, LLC Appointed AgustaWestland Service Center

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica Company, has named Uniflight an Authorized Service Center for AgustaWestland aircraft operating in the United States.

With this agreement, Uniflight becomes AgustaWestland’s newest service center in the United States and is authorized to perform periodic airframe maintenance inspections on all AW119 single engine and GrandNew light twins. This authorization also allows Uniflight to perform after-market airframe services and administer warranty support on behalf of AgustaWestland.
