Turbomeca (Safran group) has renewed the “MCO” (Global Support Package) contract, entitled MCO 2*, with the French Government. Turbomeca undertakes, under the terms of this contract, to ensure availability of the 1,408 turbo-shaft engines equipping French Government helicopters for a 10-year period. These helicopters are used for military and paragovernmental missions of the French Air Force (Armée de l’Air), Army (Armée de Terre), Navy (Marine Nationale), Police (Gendarmerie), Civil Security (Sécurité Civile) and DGA (French Defense Procurement Agency) - Flight testing.

DART Helicopter Services Celebrates Grand Opening of the New Corporate Headquarters

Hawkesbury, ON, September 14, 2012 – DART Helicopter Services (DHS) significantly expanded its office in Hawkesbury by regrouping all Canadian divisions under one roof.  Before the construction of the new office, the Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Engineering, Accounting and Manufacturing teams were not co-located.  The 9,500 sq. feet office expansion allowed for all divisions to come under one roof next to the manufacturing facility.

Northrop Grumman and AgustaWestland Announce Teaming Agreement to Compete for both the Air Force Combat Rescue Helicopter and the Navy “Marine One” Presidential Helicopter Programs

Sep. 18, 2012 –Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) and AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company (FNC IM, SIFI.MI) announced today that they have signed a comprehensive teaming agreement to respond to anticipated requests for both the new Air Force Combat Rescue Helicopter and the Navy’s recently announced program to develop a new “Marine One” Presidential Helicopter. A US built helicopter based on the AW101 platform will be offered by Northrop Grumman to meet these requirements.
