DHART air ambulance service honored for safety record

LEBANON, NH – A just-published study in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that trauma patients transported to level 1 or level 2 trauma centers have better rates of survival when transported by helicopter than by ground ambulance. That’s not really news to members of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART), which has been saving lives for nearly 20 years, and has now been honored for its longstanding commitment to safety and patient service.
