Mid-Continent Instruments — West honored by FAA

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Mid-Continent Instruments announced today that the company’s well-known instrument shop in Van Nuys, Calif., has earned FAA Full Class 1, 2, 3 Radio and Class 3 Accessory repair certification from the FAA.
Full Class 1, 2, 3 Radio and Class 3 Accessory certification enables Mid-Continent Instruments west coast facility to add additional avionics and accessory types to its current service offerings without applying for each approval from the local FAA Flight Standards District Office.

Haifa, Israel, May 11, 2011 - Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT) ("Elbit Systems") announced today that it has been awarded a contract for the establishment of a Helicopter Pilot Training Center for Macedonia's Defense and Security Forces. The project, valued at 43 million, will be operated under a PFI (Private Financing Initiative) concept, in which Elbit Systems will provide a comprehensive solution, including the setting up of the training center, acquisition of aircraft, supply of full mission simulators and operation of the center for a period of eight years. The Pilot Training Center will prepare and qualify new pilots for the Macedonian Defense and Security forces, as well as provide training of active pilots
