Has anyone out there been having trouble installing the new seals in the 250 series II engines? I have been having trouble with the seal poping the installation bullet out before the seal gets on the shaft. By the time I am aware, usually after it has bounced back, it is too late. I have taken to stuffing papertowel in the ID of the driver just to hold pressure against the bullet to hold it in place until the seal slides on the shaft. Then there is the issue of longevity, or lack there of. I am averaging about 50 tp 60 hours before replacement is required again. Any comments, ideas, lamemnts?

Yes the old red rubber seals were best , the brown and black with rotation vanes
lips OK . The new teflon stuff is bad , we have had luck changing the depth of seating .
Not opening the seal up more than needed is the trick , hard to get right .
