I just put in my WOFT packet which didn't get accepted, so now I'm gunning for blackhawk systems repairer (15T). I have an appointment at the MEPS station with the liasons on Sat. to see if they can secure me a job slot, which it's looking like there won't be any slots open right now. Anyway, I was wondering how long it typically takes someone to work their way up to crewchief, or if there's a certain rank you have to be. The recruiters told me it's sooo easy to get a slot because no one wants to do it -yeah right. I find that a little hard to believe. Anyway, if you have any info on how long it takes to get a crewchief slot I'd appreciate the input.

hey man I've been a 15T for 4 years now. I would have to say it's been awesome. If i was you when you go to meps tell them you want to wait for a slot to open. i had to wait 6 months and it was so worth it. Don't let them push you in to sign on for a job you don't want. Just remember your not in the army yet... As for getting a flight slot it all depends on were you go. If theres a opening or not. Even if there isn't you will go to a maintenance company. But that isn't a bad thing its always good to have maintenance experience before yo go to a flight company. Rank doesn't matter i had privets working for me. if you have any questions hit me up.

A UH-60 can hover!! Just because it has wheels doesn't mean that it can't hover. DUH! :P
