Emeric was a beloved pilot and friend. We will miss him terribly and he is irreplaceable. He was so much fun to be around and tease and when he laughed he did it with his whole body and soul. He was also an excellent pilot. The outpouring of sympathy from his peers, customers, and commuters has been overwhelming. Thank You for the pleasure of working with you and god bless. John Moore

Two very beloved employees, Emeric Maillet the pilot and John Terry the crewman. They lost thier lives May 2008. They were best "buddies" and loved what they were doing. We have had a amazing outpouring of love and sympathy from peers and customers alike for these wonderful people. They are irreplaceable and there has not been a dry eye since. They were our family and we will always love them. - John Moore - Island Express [img src=http://www.verticalreference.com/helicopterforum/uploads/1206776987/gallery_11183_1_78868.gif]

Emeric, The world has lost a great person that brought fun and laughter to all that knew you. Your presence on this earth was a blessing and I am Honored to have known you, been your roommate at one time, your co-worker, your student and most of all your friend. I am sure that you are still laughing at the voicemail message that I left you last week. I will always hold our "RUSH HOUR" saying near and dear to my heart. Rich and I had a drink in your honor and he said " I guess god needed a good ASTAR pilot! You have taken eternal flight and you will be with us forever. My heart goes out to the Families and Friends of all that were lost and those that are recovering from the accident. God Be with You and Yours! Terence

Emeric was one of my Instructors back in the old Bravo Aviation days at Torrance. He was an execellent Instructor, Mentor, and friend. I am forever greatful for his trust, patience, skill, and humor. I only regret that I did not spend more time with him in recent years. Dear Emeric... BLUE SKIES... till we meet again... a dieu Michael Hegewald

Even though we didn't speak every day, when we did talk it was always fun. You always laughed which would always make me smile especially when i needed it in hospital after my crash. Emeric never had a problem about giving you the shirt off his back if you needed it and he always knew how to have fun. I know all that knew you my friend are going to miss you very much, especially the old Bravo crowd that workd together and played together over those years. You won't be forgotten my friend. Justin

Emeric was my cousin and as I live in France I had not seen him for a very long time, quite as his brother Guillaume. When I read your messages I realize that he was very appreciated , was a very good pilot and friend for many of you and I discover him a little. Thanks so much to you for all your messages. My thoughts go to his brother, to my uncle and my aunt. Isabelle

As everyone already said, emeric was not only a fantastic pilot, but a great person. i had the pleasure of being his passenger many times over the past few years. his skill as a pilot was amazing but his warmth, humor and smile were the best. he had the ability to make his passengers feel special and was respected and loved by all around him. my sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and his island express family. so very sorry for your loss. gary kress

Thanks to all of you. For those of you who will go to the funeral, be there for Emeric's parents for me, one of his cousin who won't be able to go. If they ever read those lines, I want them to know how much we love them. Kathy

I only met Emeric a few times when I was first learning to fly at Los Angeles Helicopters. He was always so friendly and put up with my many questions about helicopters and flying. I want to express my sorrow to his family. Guillaume and Emeric are two great pilots and exeptionally good people. Rob

Thanks to all the people that let friendly messages. He was my cousin and we already miss him a lot. I hope where he is, he can see how much he was loved and such a great guy for everybody. Our heart and thoughts will be with all the people that we'll be present at the funeral for us! I'm not sure his parents and guillaume will see that message so please anyone! let them know how much we love them and share their sadness...

Emeric was so professional when he started flying me to and from the Beta Offshore Oil Platforms until he got to know me and the rest of the Pacific Energy guys. Then he relaxed and we had a lot of fun! From the Pacific Enerygy family to the Island Express family and Emeric's family and friends we share in your loss and all of us mourn for him and will miss his smile and laugh! I will always remember Emeric as a great pilot and it was a pleasure to work and fly with him at Bravo. He was also a dear and true friend who always made me laugh through the best and worst of times. I will also remember the fun parties we had, especially that time my wife got drunk and started dirty dancing with Emeric. We laughed so hard... We will miss you, bro. Our thoughts and prayers reach out to Emeric, his brother Guillaume, his parents, and family. Michael and Miwa Ramos
