I was asked this question by two pilots that I was conducting IFR ground training and I have searched but can't come up with a logical answer. OPSPECS states we must use a visual descent gradient of 6 degrees or more is required and must be used when operating with these minimums of a nonprecision approach at a speed of 91 kts. or less". Our RFM states that we can not use any thing greater than 4.5 degrees. I've looked in the AC's but can't come up with anything.
