Probably need a little more information. There are schools all over that have 500s as part of their fleet. And plenty of experienced CFIs who can teach if you have your own. What are you looking for and where are you at? Is this initial training, advanced, specialty?

Hello, thanks for your replys.  I have more than 8000 hours in helicopters, looking to get my CFI and maybe some longline refresher, thought is would be fun to do it in a MD500.  Location not that important.

I would recommend Western Helicopters also. I go there every 3 months for autos and use their 500. They have a good mountain and Long Line course as well.  The pilots there are all 20,000+ utility and military guys. In fact one of the instuctors, Bob, used to fly S61s.

I too recommend Western Helicopters. They have been around a long time and have some outstanding instructors with a lot of experience with the MD500's. I had the opportuinity to go to the factory school when it was still at the Hughes strip in Culver City about 1980? In fact I did my rotor ride with Charlie Chop there in 1969. Where have all the years gone?!! Semper Fi- Rocky
