Hello, I am just curious if anyone has any experience in the 500/530, and have experienced a Flame out where the reignite-er has reignited the engine. Also what are your views on the reignite system, how long do you think it will take to reignite if activated and how much altitude would you lose. I had a flame out a couple of years ago in a hove and by the time we hover auto-ed to the ground the engine was coming back on line. Just curious what other pilots/ mechanics takes are on this. STAY SAFE

Where you initiating the restart in a hover? I'm kind of confused. I've done a couple of restarts in the air but never tried one in a hover. Guess I am just a slowpoke?

No I did not initiate a start. The engine flamed out and after we hover autoed to the ground, the engine was coming back online. The reignighter warning light was illuminated. The reignighter restarted the engine.
Just curious if anyone has other experiences where the reignighter was used?
