I guess this is my night to blitz the forum, having lurked for some time and having been deployed for most of the last six months. I'm a Marine MV-22B pilot, previously a helo instructor in the TH-57B and a CH-46E pilot before that. My current endorsements are Comm and Inst SEL and rotorcraft, and will be getting my powered lift signoff for V-22s soon. I have about 2000 helo hours, 100 fixed-wing, and 800 tiltrotor. Plenty of instrument as well as aided and unaided night time. As Twisted Sister once asked, "What are you going to do with your life?!?" My career preferences post-military run towards the helicopter industry and the somewhat more action-oriented side of aviation, e.g. private military, EMS, law enforcement. What will they make of my resume? My rotorcraft time will be somewhat dated, almost 10 years old, by the time I get out. I fly a weird hybrid that's a lot like a helo, but is a lot unlike one at the same time. Will I be competitive looking for a helo job? Will it mostly just come down to selling myself? Just looking for someone knowledgeable about the industry to chime in. Hopefully this won't digress into a discussion of the merits of the V-22...
