Hello As you all know, I am new here. I have heard alot, that the older pilots are going to be retiring, and that it will be the best time to get into the helicopter industry or any other job for that matter. I don't plan on getting my commercial yet, but more in like 4-5 years. After I finsih my AME license at a college. Would the industry still be looking for people, in 4-5 years. That is my biggest concern? Just like to know your input on this topic, thanks. Robert

Helicopter operations will only increase for several reasons: the evironment, security, and the oil industry to name a few. So to answer your question YES. The old days of an endless supply of Army trained pilots is gone and operators will still need pilots from any source. I predict more aircraft and the need for more pilots
