Hi Friends; All right;i admit that there are many systems(HUMS,EPGWS,TCAS, PDS etc.)have great contributions for flight safety, especially for single pilot operations which pilot has a heavy burden and liability on his/her shoulders. However,i like to point out that The Flight Safety should be considered as a Human-led conception, not a technology-led one. Relying on your systems are essential,as well as having enough training with your systems to ensure the pilot-system interface and coordination.Since, human still (and fortunately) moves the cyclic and pull the collective,we should never forget the adage "to err is human".I am sure that a well trained pilot who has the flight safety understanding would use the systems mentioned above effectively. The bottomline;you could build up a super airframe, you could build up a super powerplant, super avionics and systems but not a super pilot.(except pilots from Krypton) I am adamant in my belief that training the pilot to improve his/her skills, initiative and flight safety understanding is the most important priority of the industry. I am optimistic about helicopter accident rate would have a downward trend.Losing a friend is the most terrible and unforgettable experience in my life. Thanks for reading and i wish every pilot a Safe Landing. Cem P.S.:I am a thousand mile away from my base and it is really depressing not to fly and visit JH daily. So,i would be here whenever i am suitable.

If the engine is heart of the aircraft, the pilot is the soul...
